Acrylic Countertops

Acrylic solid surface is a 100 percent man-made product. It is composed of acrylic or modified polyester and additional particles to create a textured appearance to the surface.

Acrylic solid surface countertops are made from a homogenous material. Countertops fabricated from acrylic are consistent in color and pattern throughout. This means that there are no veneers or panels that can chip or break off. This also means that if you happen to scratch your countertop, a professional can easily repair it.

An added feature of Acrylic solid surface countertop material is that through a process called fusion, seams are not visible. Fusion is the process of sanding down the material with certain grades of sanding pads and then polishing the countertop to a certain sheen. The same process can be used when installing an undermount sink and as a result the sink gets molded smoothly to the countertop.

Acrylic solid surface is machine workable, therefore it can be cut into any shape and it can be heated and molded.

Since acrylic solid surface countertops are man-made, there are an immense number of colors and texture variations to choose from!
